October 2011 - End of season

It was a very wet night.  We lost to Bishop Luers.  Not a very fun night for the team.


Victor had his last game Friday evening, Oct 14, 2011.

Victor was goalie - 2nd half.  I know that several of these are out of focus - but so you get the gest of the game wanted to show.  He despises being goalie.

Soccer Games have started !!!

RJ first game in August - against South Side:

RJ's second game in August against Elkhart Christian  -  this was last saturday night.  Of course after the game we had to stop at Columbos - famous pizza place there in Elkhart:  

Victor (in middle) w/buddies Chase and Nate - they were walking around the end of the soccer field during the game - we were laughing - it looked like the brain team coming to talk to the players - with their i-pads, etc.

Victor started his practice the week of August 23 - but will not have his first game until Tues, Sept 6.  

Here is our lunch with Dawn & Jim, and our surprise for them - Fred &Monica Witmer, along with their kids.

The newest little member of the Miller Family!

Brooklyn Kesha (pronouned "kasha"  = swahili ?sp?) Miller made her way into the world on Thursday, Sept 1, 2011.  
She was born about 12 hours before her big cousin RJ predicted.  (RJ announced to us wed eve that Andy and Karmen was going to have their baby on thursday, between 5-8pm.  She was born between 5-8AM on thursday)

She was over 8 pounds, 21 and half inches!  

By friday, she had already changed her looks!  Victor was thinking it was pretty neat to have a new little cousin!

July 2011 - Family Vacation

Day 1 - our first look at a bear visiting our cabin.

AWESOME time away!  Our time in the mountains was like no other with our frequent visitors!  I don't think we will wait so long to take another vacation. 


Our rental suv was awesome - RJ and Victor both had their own seat.  
We started our trip on July 16 - Nate & Stacy, and kids drove with us.  We stopped in Berea for the night.  Had a nice pool.  Next morning - RJ woke up Dylan for an early morning workout.

Finally, Sunday, July 17th - we made it to "Angel Haven", in the mountain above Gatlinburg.  We were the first ones there - the kids found a door unlocked so we were able to get in before anyone else arrived.

We had a hot tub on the top deck - the first evening relaxing and looking out over the mountains.

While waiting on supper the first night there - we all walked down to the tennis courts at the club house.  The kids had a game of volleyball over the tennis net.
